    Whatever. It's just my opinion. ;)

    I've played Fallout 3 on my 5.1 system with a big screen and I've played it on my 17'' laptop with both 5.1 and 7.1 and the verdict is that yes, they in fact provide good surround sound.

    I, like many others, prefer to go for that immersion factor when I play games and in my experience, no, you don't get the same effect with stereo headphones. Good clear audio? Sure. But I like to through directional audio in there too.

    Yea but with the one's I got they are very high quality Stereo, that are actually able to allocate sounds, also giving the effect of surround sound.... the truth is it's all about the game you are playing (coding for the audio) and the quality of your headset

    I just think that saying it can be compared to a real surround system is a bit too much :p .

    Can't wait to see the reviews on those... I don't know what the track record of that company is but I am hoping they make their August release :)

    I believe their is one review on Xreviews or xsreviews, he rates them quite highly 9/10 but said the bass was not so good, but this was a pre-production pair that roccat said they was still working on. Just like the idea it would support a lot more games then the megladons.

    It is true that Roccat has only been around for a couple years or so but it is a fact that they make top quality products. Their mouse the Roccat Kone has won a ton of awards and their products are well designed. If Roccat's Kave headphones are even half as good as their other products than it will be a must buy for me.

    For gaming more people buy the ATH-AD700 Full open-air type because the closed back design has worse soundstage so worse positional sound. Of course this model doesn't block out external sources of sound as well.

    I ended up going with the Audio Technica A700 like a week ago ;) ... just got my Zalman external high quality clip on mic... the cord on this thing is freakishly long lol
