    Hello.

I have bought 2x Megasoma mats (both at the same time) I have been using one of them, and the other one is left un used. I bought the mats two weeks ago.

Now I have noticed that my Razer Naga has worn down its glides after just two weeks on this mat. I used to use this Naga on a soft Qpad cloth mat. I checked the glides before I started using this mat, and they were is perfect condition.

I attached images so you can see how much damage this mat has done to the Naga. Is there anything I can do about this?. I can't buy new Naga glides here in Sweden.

My advice to you is to stay away from this mousepad as it seems very abrasive.

Are the first 2 pictures supposed to be the residue left by your Naga's glide feet/sticker things?

Yes that is residue from my Naga's glides left on the surface of the megasoma.

It seems to me like you're pressing down hard on your mouse, which will accelerate the rate of erosion on your mouse glides.

I've used a Razer eXactMat (solid aluminum) for about two years now, and I have not once had to change any of my mouse glides. They're visibly a little flatter than they used to be, but they still have most of their original volume.

Sounds like maybe a soft mat is what you need? They're a lot less abrasive.

Anyway, talk to Razer. If you're within the warranty period (2 years I think), they should have no trouble shipping you a set of replacement mouse glides.

Thanks for the reply +rep for you :D
I use to "claw grip" the mouse, so I dont think pressure is the cause of it.
I have switched back to a soft Qpad, as it does not wear out my glides. On Monday I will give Razer a call and see what they will do.

The Megasoma feels like sandpaper on the surface, so I guess it is poorly designed.

Sandpaper? Yikes, glad I didn't end up getting one >_<

My old eXactMat was textured, but not nearly to the extent of sandpaper. It was a very smooth glide overall.

I own a Razer Vespula so the control side isn't as rough as the Megasoma. Also, to answer your original question, I believe Razer has a warrenty thing where they can send replacement parts. Is your Naga still under warrenty? If not, have you registered your Naga to see if you could extend the warrenty?

    Thanks for the reply.

My Naga is only a year old, so it is still under warranty. Im not sure if they send out parts like glides etc, but I will email them on monday and keep you guys updated.

I was going to get the megasoma too but heard that it did that, I ended up getting the Goliathus instead, it has worked great so far, not a problem with my mouse at all, I've had it for about a month and have the naga as well.

There are loads of Megasoma fails videos on youtube. Be wary and look at reviews before you buy Razer products, they have a big problem with quality control, sure they look cool and some products of theirs are really good, but they are well know for product failures.

I and many others in this forums have had poor quality Razer products and most of us dont regard the brand highly. (except for 1 guy)

Agreed, I actually hate Razer. Their so called best premium mousepad with a bulletproof case is the worst mousepad they've made. My buddy had one and I shot the case with my AR15. Bulletproof my butt  .

    Update

I have sent a few emails to Razer.
They offer to replace the Megasoma (which is useless as that will not solve the problem), they refuse to do anything else. They are not replacing the glides of the Naga although it was their poorly designed peice of crap mat that caused the problem.

I cant buy Naga glides here in Sweden, so I ended up buying "Steel series universal mouse glides" instead.

Razers support is fraud, and their mousepad is a peice of crap.

That has me concerned. I own a Naga Epic and if my mouse glides go out, I'd be screwed too only because they don't have mouse glides for it.

If you use a cloth pad, you will be 100% fine. Naga glides are not available in Sweden, but if you live in US, UK etc you will be able to buy glides.

You can get Naga mouse feets on ebay. Cheap ones from hong kong or you can try Corepad skates that is based in Europe.

Sorry Simp, but you learned it the hard way. I once had a Razer Ironclad mousepad (VERY EXPENSIVE) it was $60 US dollars  I could get a better mouse with that. Guess what? I used it for 1 week, with my G500, and it started getting damaged. And their so-called "Bulletproof" case for the mousepad (which is completely useless, for a FREAKING MOUSEPAD WHICH IS PROBABLY 1/3 THE PRICE!!!) got dented with 3 AR15 Colt rounds. Their "bulletproof" couldn't even survive a 1800s musket ball round. Morale of the story - RAZER SUCKS.
