Lets say I was to get a copperhead, referring to this video- many others have the same prob.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ts2Y5j_FvOA&NR=1

The USB cable for the copperhead are mostly fault, 3/5 mice are usually returned due to this. Does anyone know how this could be fixed if the one I get is faulty? Thanks...

(Btw, I'm a supper nub when it comes to opening things...opening a mouse for say.....then trying to re connect a cord)

So, does this problem in the copperhead occur in the Diamondback 3G or the deathadder? Or any major probs that I could fix from a guide?

    Thanks.

    It's called: Comfort Issues.

Whatever mouse fits your comfort, just buy it!

Well, if you know where there's cheapo brands that imitate / mimic the original structure and copy what the original has, but the brand is cheaper- I'll go and get it. Probably they'd use their own stuff too, so they'd use their own usb cord or even use different inside mouse structure.

    This for example:
    http://www.trust.com/products/product_detail.aspx?item=15401

is just a copy of the Cyber Snipa Stinger.

I have the Diamondback G3 and it's almost the identical mouse, why not just get that?

diff side button thing, I heard the side buttons under the rubber made it harder to press, more difficult.

Also, they have 200 DPI difference.

You are not going to notice a difference of 200 DPI.

    I respectfully disagree.

Well, I hate right handed mice even though I am right handed and the DeathAdder still looks sorta ambidextrous, how is the Deathadder?

The Copperhead is ambidextrous, the Deathadder is a Right-handed mouse.

Razer products are hit-or-miss when it comes to longevity. I love their products, but I fully expect to have a 50/50 chance of exchanging one for a working one within 3 months of purchase. My first copperhead had the lasers burn out in the first 3 months and I had to exchange it for another, that one has lasted me since 2006 and is still going strong. I also have a Lycosa keyboard, it works great with the exception that the backlit keys stopped lighting up one day about 6 months after I got it. Now, I can touch type, but sometimes it helps to be able to see the keys when playing RPGs instead of FPSs.

My advise - get one from somewhere with a generous exchange policy, like Best Buy. Every time I've had something break quickly (Logitech headset, the Copperhead, etc.), my local best buy has exchanged it for no cost and without the original packaging or receipt (just gotta remember when you bought it and how you paid, if it wasn't cash, they can find it in their system w/o the receipt). When an exchange hasn't been available, they have refunded the entire purchase price, including tax, to me as store credit so that I could find a suitible replacement.

    My final thoughs:

I love my Razer products and will buy more and more as they need replacing. Just don't expect 100% every time and be willing to exchange them once or twice. Once you get to one that doesn't break, they are great products that really are worth their weight in gold IMHO.

Logitech is my second choice, it was my first choice until I owned my first Razer, then I found my new love. Still, can't argue with Logitech, they make some great products and have excellent build quality.

I live in Aus, and theres no shops around me that give me a choice to try, so that'd mean I can't buy one in my area forcing me to order online, theres a shop in Vic (of Aus) that sells these for $55. But then I'd have to ship it back to them, correct? Bit of a hassle I guess.

I'm still wondering if theres a cheapy brand that has stolen the OEM of Razer's mice, so I can buy a cheapy- and if it breaks, it breaks- get what you pay for.

I think Razer should re check all their products, probably a send back. Stop making them with their crap machines in the factories perhaps if this is all their good for, hand make them instead.

Comfort issues, it's a right handed mouse- sure, but it hurts my right hand, perhaps I got a small hand... my whole hand is over all of the mouse, just hurts.

Hows the NZXT Gaming Mouse? XD

yeah mx518 is a little too big for you. especially since it's for palm grippers.
hey maybe you'll grow into them in a few years. :)

    Yea, maybe... Was hoping so.

I'm move of a claw gripper (with my old came with the comp mouse), back of palm on the back of the mouse and the rest of my fingers Arching over the mouse body to the buttons.

I'll get a Razer Diamondback 3G, Hope I can claw it..

    Edit:
And I believe finger grip is no palm at all, period, right? XD

13 and on forums already? dang...

The diamondback should be fine for u. i personally didn't like mine very much. Gave it away to charity and got myself a cyber snipa stinger. Best tech purchase i have ever made.

    The MX518 isn't THAT big

Wish I could test the 2, tried my bro's LX8 cordless mouse, Alright comfort, just slightly too small in width for me.

    I'm either the 2.
*Mature sounding, and this I can do naturally easy, helps in emails.
    *Smartass, Logic pwns your nubness.

Been on forums since I was about 10, not a biggy.

Played Maple when I was 8, learning most terms etc.

If you're a claw-type gamer, you should look at the Razer Lachesis or the Logitech G9. You can also use Razer's mouse configurator to find out what type of mouse gamer you are by going here:

    LINK

That is correct. More information about the various ways to hold a mouse (claw, fingertip, palm) can be located at the following link:

Really think the Lachesis would do my Claw gripping? o_O

And the configurator is BS, it always points it to the most expensive mouse, or about to, just so u can buy it and they make their profits. It's always said Lachesis, no matter How random I mate it.

Hah, said Lachesis for me as well. It's second recommendation was the Diamondback 3G though, which is the mouse I have.

The Lachesis is "automatically" picked if you choose that you need a mouse that you can use on multiple computers and that you use your mouse to perform in-game macros. Since I need neither of these, or use them very infrequently, the Razer that is chosen for me is a Boomslang.

I chose "I'll use it on my computer and doubt it'll be used on another"

as well as "I don't know" for macro's (Isn't there an option for a plain NO?)

    Ok, I NEED:

    *2000 DPI at least
*2-3cm Height or below mouse, or my hand will suicide.
    *Length can be 13cm
*Width should be about 5cm, plz no more... or it will about to get to the suicide stage.
*PLZ Have forward and back buttons.
*1 DPI changing switch (my high DPI + my mother's low DPI)
    *Mouse to be FULLY Ambidextrous.

So with this said... the sizes I stated should make it a claw grip mouse.

And I seriously just don't give a crap about the price, GET A MOUSE AT ANY COST YOU WANT, I SERIOUSLY CANNOT STRESS THIS TO MYSELF ENOUGH "IT WORKS AND FITS FOR YOU, BUY IT".

If you know a place that makes mice to your CUSTOM needs, or your willing to Custom make and sell me a mouse, PLEASE, leave a comment here.
