I've had an occassional issue with my laptop where some days it will lag up so bad I can't browse around windows let alone play any games on it. Yet other times it runs perfectly fine.
I thought this was a graphics driver issue so updated to various different ones and settled with the most stable. However the random lagginess persists still.
My DPC latency checker reported today that I have some bad drivers.
When I switched my laptop on this morning, this happend:

The lag just 'kicked' in. Other times, there will be no lag until 20-50 minutes after it's been switched on and then it happens again. I know it all looks green and good here, but it's really not. I can't do anything with this lag.
I ran Verifier and rebooted. It bluescreened on DB3G.sys which relates to my Razer Diamondback mouse so I've come to the conclusion that my mouse has been causing me grief all this time.
A few weeks ago I installed what should have been the stable Windows 7 Razer drivers and it bluescreened, therefore I uninstalled the driver, or so I thought because it's apparently still there.
I've googled around and some people report that this driver is a pain to get rid of. In my registry I've still got some entries:

My biggest worry however is that whenever I use this mouse, windows will go and fetch the drivers for it and introduce the error again.
Even though they say on the Razer site their products work fine with newer operating systems I feel like I can't trust that. My mouse used to bluescreen with my old vista laptop too...
But this mouse is getting older now, if I get the deadthadder maybe it will play better with win 7.
Can anyone suggest whether I should try the drivers again or, should I attempt to rid my system of Razer and use something like Steelseries instead?

Try updating your drivers AND firmware with the latest ones from Razer's site.

Yup try updating your mouse driver. Razer's mice are quite high tech they have downloadable drivers.
