After studying various gaming mice in depth, I'm highly considering purchasing the Hex.
This mouse caught my eyes because of the 6 mechanical spring buttons on the left side that are spread out perfectly. I was never interested in the Naga/Epic because I found the buttons too close together with not much room.
I'm worried that it's too skinny from left to right. My favourite mouse of all time is the G9X, but it's got limited buttons and although it's the most comfortable mouse I've ever used, I need something with more buttons for SWTOR. I don't have enough easy access keys between my M14X and current gaming mouse to bind all my quick reaction abilities.
As a Hex owner, could you list pro's and con's as well as compare it to your previous gaming mouse for me, please?![]()

Baka owns one
Baka thinks it's slightly smaller than Baka's old Mamba but that's something that Baka got used to quickly since it isn't THAT much smallerComparing it to Baka's old G9... Eh... Baka doesn't remember the G9 that much but with the G9, Baka remembered using it as palm grip. The Hex is more claw-ish grip mainly for Baka ._.
Baka has no idea why Razer decided to put the usual forward backward side buttons that's usually on the left side behind the scroll wheel but Baka never uses them on the Hex anyway. Baka just set a profile for usual browsing and stuff and set the forward/backward buttons at buttons 3 and 6 since they feel the most comfortable for Baka ._. There's the extra 1 and 4 button that Baka uses for copy paste and 2 and 5 for mouse sensitivity changing. Baka still misclicks at times but that's just Baka being clumsy ._."
The side buttons are very responsive and comfortable to use though. The default thumb rest didn't really fit Baka's thumb but then Razer provides two other thumb rest rubber thingy for Baka to switch around with and Baka found one that's really comfortable
There's a switch at the bottom that allows Baka to switch between numbers 1-6 or keypad numbers 1-6. Baka doesn't really bothered much with that since Baka just switch profiles between games.
Synapse 2.0 is really handy for Baka. One thing, it actually switches the profile properly for Baka whenever Baka launches a gameThough it somehow doesn't work for LoL but it works for HoN and DotA 2 ._. Baka doesn't like how it doesn't revert back to the default profile after exiting the game though but meh, it's a simple click from the mini icon at the bottom. The interface is really handy too
They sorted the Synapse 2.0 functions neatly. Well for Baka it's neat ._.
Baka do have problems of it sometimes crashing when switching profiles or changing the sensitivity though Baka thinks that's more of Baka's laptop problems since Baka doesn't see much people complaining about it. Perhaps it's also just Baka's internet being so slow Synapse 2.0 just slaps Baka in the face. There are times when Baka's profile didn't load or sync properly that it doesn't load the saved profiles but that's also probably Baka's internet being derpy and not connecting properly ._.
Baka can get a few screenshots of the Synapse 2.0 if Voodooi prefers it -
Baka makes Nero laugh.
Nero bows to Baka -
Few more quick questions ^________^ :
1. I can easily bind 1 and 3 to page forward and page back for browsing, eh? Because I'd feel uncomfortable using the buttons behind the mouse wheel.
2. Does the mouse wheel auto-scroll (or have an option to do so like the G9X)? Meaning when I spin it once really fast it'll spin several times? This feature is great for forum surfing and digging through FL Studio/Ableton Live sound libraries.
3. Are the mouse clicks hard to press down (which causes pain in your finger over time) or is it light (like the G9X)?
Voodooi thanks Baka for contributing and adds +1 rep to Baka ^_________^ -
Baka believes it does not have the auto-scroll function ._. Baka remembers that function on the G9 and it indeed was useful.

I edited my post a few times so you probably missed question #1 and #3
Thanks Baka -
For question 1, Yesh Voodooi can bind any key to any of the buttons. If the key isn't there, just have it memorize a keystroke ._.
For question 3, Baka thinks that the clicks feels lightBaka used it for over half a day before and didn't have any finger pains

<3 Baka
You've convinced me to get the mouse. I'll order it this week. Gotta get rid of this Cyborg RAT mouse (worst gaming mouse on the planet)
Baka make Voodooi happy ^_________^
Now I'll be able to bind all my crowd control and interrupts to the actual mouse for SWTOR for improved response time.
