Neither one. You chose two heavily-branded headsets that put your money towards flashy appearance, rather than a headset that actually puts your money towards audio quality.

Smart money will buy one of four headsets under $100:
    1) Logitech G35 ($75) - Dolby Headphone 5.1 support.
    2) Corsair Vengeance 1500 ($85) - Dolby Headphone 5.1 support.
    3) GameCom 377 ($35) - Stereo 2.0 support
    4) GameCom 777 ($60) - Dolby Headphone 5.1 support

Out of those four, I would choose Corsair Vengeance 1500. Those headphones (and the predecessor Corsair HS1 headset) have been reviewed very highly, with the almost universal opinion that you get incredible audio quality for the price you pay.

I'd recommend one of the GameCom sets. The 377 and 777 are completely identical except for the fact that the 777 has an additional USB attachment to process surround sound. "Surround" headsets are entirely a gimmick, so you might as well get the best stereo headset you can for your money.

Plantronics is not as popular of a brand as some of these big names, but all they do is headsets, and they do a very good job of it.

^ I have the Gamecom 377. I do think however that you get what you pay for in terms of build quality. It's nearly all plastic, I'm looking fora pair that will better suit my tastes for a good quality headset
