I have a Razer Orochi that wouldn't connect to my laptop which is an Alienware M11x R2 after reformatting it, although the mouse did work in wired mode. The system would detect its presence, but would fail to establish an actual connection. Reinstallation of Orochi or Bluetooth drivers did not help. Instead of clicking "connect" in the list of found Bluetooth devices, I right-clicked on the Orochi in said list, went to its properties, and checked the "Drivers for keyboard, mice, etc. (HID)" box under the Services tab. Although the pairing process was never officially completed according to standard procedure, it did seem to work to at least get the mouse functional in wireless mode.

Make sure you install everything for the bluetooth driver and software from ms and the bt maker.

Seriously, at least leave it as a common courtesy in case someone else has a similar issue. No need to delete every post once it's been answered, otherwise there'd be hardly a hundred posts on this forum at a time.

http://forum.notebookreview.com/acc...-orochi-cannot-connect-alienware-m11x-r2.html reference to this thread of the same issue

same problem, same exact thing. worked perfectly fine before re-installing windows. now won't work at all. tried uninstalling and reinstalling the bluetooth and mouse drivers about 500 times. tried old versions of the drivers, tried new versions of the drivers. went to razer and download the orochi drivers. used third party driver programs to update the drivers. nothing. wiped drivers, let windows update pull in the bluetooth drivers. nothing. reinstalled the bluetooth software from dell site about 20 times, current version and a few different older versions. nothing. what is the fix here? it was working literally 24 hours ago before i wiped and reloaded the OS. i am an IT in the military so i know how to use device manager and make sure drivers are installed, this is driving me berserk. please help. not sure why this poster didn't leave the fix action up or tell others how he fixed it in the thread.

i have to say i'm not nearly as impressed with the m11x as i was hoping to be, with all the powerful stats it has it sure runs slow and gets bogged down easy when there isn't even a lot going on in the background. and even before the OS reinstall my bluetooth had issues staying connected to printers like ten feet away and mice were choppy often. anyway, that's an entirely different topic, when replying please keep this thread specific to the issue in the title.

It was previously paired with your computer before you re-installed windows? If so, try pairing it with another computer first. Something similar happened with me - the Orochi was paired with an old install and the only way I could get it to connect after a fresh install was first to pair it with another computer.
