which would you guys recommend getting? (i'll be using it on my m14x). I read that the rat 7 has some tracking issues? thanks In advance for your advice.

Neither. The R.A.T. 7 is known to have a z-axis tracking issue, while the Orochi is known to lag badly in wireless mode. In other words, it depends on your needs.
-
The Orochi is a good portable Bluetooth laptop mouse, and a decent wired gaming mouse. I wouldn't game in Bluetooth mode.
-
I would take the Razer Orochi. Tracking issues are very annoying, it is better to take the mouse that lags a bit in wireless mode than the one with tracking issues.
-
Wasn't the lag due to the mouse going to sleep mode? Didn't they updated the firmware to increase the time when the razer will put itself to sleep? thanks guys for your advice.
-
Only if you REALLY need the portability then go for the Orochi, if not, there are plenty of other wired mouse you can get, cos not only the orochi has an annoying lag and sleep issue, its rather uncomfortable and small. I suggest getting a proper wired mouse with good ergonomics.

You can wait for a G700 to go for ~$50, dented box.

Don't get the R.A.T. 7.
Those things have huge issues with tracking after you have them for a bit. Nothing but bad reviews on this thing. It is fataly flawed and isn't going to be fixed. -
other than those two. what would you guys recommend? also I'm a left handed so its difficult to find a decent mouse for lefty's. I saw a death adder left handed.

I've had both right-hand DeathAdder models for years and couldn't be happier. I highly recommend them.
As a lefty, you're pretty much limited to the left-hand DA or ambidextrous mice. I know you've already ruled it out, but just FYI the R.A.T. 7 is right-handed. -

In that case, I recommend the DeathAdder. It's got a significantly better quality optical sensor than the Orochi's laser, and it's more comfortable. It's not specifically made to be portable, but I just packed my DeathAdder into a sock and took it with me for years, and it still looks and works like brand new.

I've had the Razor Lachesis for about 18 months and I find it great.
9 buttons, easy to reach and responsive. It's ambidextrous, which took a little getting used to after using an ergonomically designed mouse (right handed) but now I find it really comfortable.... maybe my hand has deformed a bit..
The only con i found with it was that the side button are set to 'autofire' which causes problems in some situations i.e. cooking a grenade or picking up a crate in COD but I just set an alternate key for these actions on the keyboard.
Anyone know how to change this autofire configuration on Razer mice?
Razer Orochi or Cyborg rat 7?
