The title says it all. The only other's that i would consider would be the Razer Kraken Pro, Corsair Vengeance 2000 and the 1500.

    -Thanks.

Yes, they are fine for gaming. However, they are a bit gimmicky, since they prey on the uneducated consumer with the idea that "more is better". These headphones have 3 speakers in each earcup, so that must mean they are automatically better than traditional headphones with just 1 speaker, right?

The two main drawbacks of the Razer Tiamat 7.1 are:
    1) High price premium for the Razer branding and design. Your money doesn't actually go into improved sound quality.
    2) Requires a 5.1 / 7.1 sound card that can output analog Front / Side / Rear audio.

If it were me, I would just buy the Corsair Vengeance 1500 and be done with it.
    * MUCH cheaper than the Razer Tiamat 7.1 (half the price)
    * Very high-value-for-your-money. Your money goes into audio quality, not branding or design.
    * Works off of single USB plug. No need for separate 5.1 / 7.1 sound card or additional USB power.

My only thing with the Corsair's is that I heard that they break really easily... (All my corsair products have lasted for years) Also would you recommend the Corsair 2000 or is wireless a no go?

If you aren't a fan or Corsair, check out the Logitech G35 / G930. Comparable products to the Corsair Vengeance 1500 / 2000.

As for wireless... it's up to you. Personally, I hate wireless, because I think recharging batteries is a pain in the rear. I think wired accessories (mouse, keyboard, etc) are superior for that single reason. However, if you are die-hard set on wireless, go for it.
