Ok, I am a pretty hardcore gamer.. I am looking to finish off my setup, and the one thing i dont have is a good mouse pad.. in fact I dont have a mouse pad at all.

So I have done some research and I have narrowed down to two choices, either the expensive Razer Vespula.. Razer | For Gamers. By Gamers.? | Online Store - Razer Vespula | Dual-Sided Mouse Mat For Your Individual Needs

or the Less expensive Xtracpads, ProHS

    XTracPads

    TL :DR

I am wondering, I know need a precise mouse pad but, if I need the really expensive razer product, or if it is just hype..

Does Razer really make products that are worth the price premium?

Go for the cheaper one XTrac. It has a Hexagon pattern for enhanced tracking. Which I think would be better for a high precision mouse.

Although the Razer pad has dual surfaces that have been developed for enhanced tracking by the same scientists at Razer that have invented the most precise gaming mice in the world today. Professional gamers have also put the Razer Vespula through thousands of hours of intense gameplay to validate the tracking surfaces for tournament play.

The Razer pad also has a gel-filled wrist rest. The XTrac doesn't.

I've been using the Vespula for a few months, and it's fantastic. The ability to instantly switch between the zero-friction side for speed and highly textured side for pixel-precise control is very nice. The gel wrist pad is nice too, and it's completely removable if you don't like it.

If you can, try and find the Razer eXactMat. It's discontinued, but it's basically a metal version of the Vespula, and I like it a little better.

Yes. :) I use Razer Mamba mouse, Lycosa keyboard, Megasoma and Kabuto mousepads and Moray headphones.

I think mousepads and mice are their best products. Check out Razer gallery in my sig if you want pics.
