I also have the new Mamba (and an older one) and I am having the exact same problems. The random uneven tracking issues occur only rarely, but I consistently am unable to get the dock to reconnect when I plug it back in. The lights on the mouse and dock also get out of sync when this happens. It's really annoying.

I'm returning the new one and sticking with the old model, which I just bought about 3 weeks ago. I can return either one, but the older one is working perfectly for me.

I do like the software with the new mouse, though, and the colors are really cool. I like the spectrum cycling mode, where it cycles through all the different colors.

If you're interested in this mouse, I'd hold off until a firmware update that addresses these issues. You can check the support section of razerzone.com to see their firmware updates. Driver 2.00 and firmware 1.02 are the current versions, so look for updates to those.

Maybe they were aware of this issue and pulled it off the market to address these problems. When the new mamba worked properly, did you notice any difference between this and the old one regarding performance? Smoother gliding, better precicions, etc.

I didn't notice any improved performance over the old one. I am really happy with the old one, though, so I am sending the new one back.

Razer released a new firmware update for the dock, which supposedly fixes the syncing issue, but I'm still having some problems. I'm sure that they will get this sorted out soon, but given the choice between the two, I don't see enough benefit from the new one to merit the upgrade.

There is no way to select between the sensors. It works as if there is a single sensor.
