    Audio Technica, Sennheiser, Plantronics

    Good place to start.

For low budget look at Plantronics Gamecom stuff.

Assuming your budget is $50 - $70, I'd get a pair of used or refurbished Klipsch Image S4 in-ear headphones for about $50-$60. It is by far the best bang-for-your-buck you will find in portable headphones for multi-purpose computer gaming and music listening.

The Razer Electra is audio gear from a computer peripherals company that makes computer products aimed at a "gamer" branding. Skullcandy GI is audio gear from a company that makes products based on pretty colors.

Call me crazy, but I prefer to buy my audio gear from an audio company that makes audio products aimed at audio quality.
