The guide on notebook running too hot was very educating.
I make a lot of internet phone calls. However, because the laptop runs hot, the fan runs very frequently and the noise from the fan affects the audio quality at my end and the calling party's end. What can i do to eliminate the noise?

I am planning to by ZM-NC1000 notebook cooler from Zalman, unfortunately, this pad is not one of the recommneded pad as per the guide in the link below:
    http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3005&guide=cooling+your+notebook

Kindly provide me with some details about the pros and cons of this pad.
    How durable is this fan

its one of the better cooling pads out there

and has a fan speed adjuster so you can control its noise.

and the guide is a bit old so dont expect newer products to be mentioned
