Is it possible to send and receive SMS text message from my Blackberry Curve to my Dell Mini10? What are some good bluetooth devices for my laptop if this is possible.

    Thanks.

Its probably possible but not practical.

You would need some kind of sync program on the computer and phone probably.

Bluetooth is a transfer protocol made of of several other smaller protocols, it can transfer files, stream music, act as a HID device and a lot more.

But for any of these things to work both devices need to support it and have a hardware or software layer to interpret the bluetooth.

your phone may just have an option to use the basic file transfer protocol for bluetooth to send the message from your phone to the computer as a file if you have a message in your phone you want to send, but you wont be sending new messages like a text from the phone to the computer and vice versa and bluetooth is short range (about 30 feet max) so you cant say communicate with a family member via bluetooth if one of you has the computer and one the phone and your far away.

Free download? I'm downloading this right away!
A free software every day is good for your health... at least that's how I see it.

Why are you trying to send text msg to your laptop? And yes bluesoleil is a good program to sync your device with lappy, don't know otherwise what you would do with sending text.

bluesoleil is just the drivers.... its not a application, well it is but its not I cant explain it easy.

It would replace your existing bluetooth stack witch is probably microsoft, toshiba, or widcomm.

I admit though its the best one but its not free, its just a trial and you have to pay for the full version. I think the "free download" just means you can download it for free lol, not use it for free.

let me know once you download and install it, I have an older version on my computers as I use it to pair my nintendo wii controllers to my computer for games.
