Anyone who would recommend the Dell Bluetooth mouse? I like the looks of it:

-It's actually got five buttons! Really, God knows how many times I wanted a BT mouse, but it didn't have forward/back buttons.

-It's almost desktop mouse-size. The Kensington BT mouse I had fit in half of my palm--way too small!

-It's available for $25 in a online config.

I found the Dell BT mouse and keyboard combo on sale for $69, and I think its great. A really comfortable size for desktop use. I use the forward/back buttons often and the 4-way tilt mousewheel is very convenient. The multimedia keys on the keyboard are also pretty sweet. They should have some user reviews on the Dell site.

And since we're on the topic of BT peripherals, I was kinda scared purchasing because I heard that you had to keep pairing the keyboard/mouse with your notebook every time you turned your notebook off.. lucky for me, that was just bullcrap.

How about pairing it up with non-Dells? Should it be just as easy as any other BT mouse?

It should pair just as easy as any other BT peripheral. Finding it at $25 is a pretty good deal, or you can search the Dell website's accessories and purchase through there.

Because I had already bought a VX Nano (for $10!!! AR) before I even knew I was getting a free bluetooth mouse.

I would've definitely considered keeping the mouse if I didn't get such a good deal on a Nano.

I heard a lot of ghost stories of how BT disconnects a lot, and i'm a very impatient guy and any disconnects would piss me off, so it scared me into buying a USB mouse. I'm sure the BT mouse would be fine.

From my experience, the Dell Bluetooth keyboard seemed fine but the mouse was terrible. It is very jumpy and hard to control. I had to set the sensitivity of movement very low to have it work normally. Maybe this is not typical of the mouse and it is great, but this was my experience with it. My friends who used MY mouse felt the same way. It was terrible. On the plus side you are right, there are 5 buttons and it looks nice and seems durable.
