Hi, peoples!
Looking for a good mouse that I can use for gaming on 1920x1200 res with decent DPI,
back and forth buttons is a must have for browsing, I hate having to click back button manually.
Also having extra buttons is welcome, so I can bind more WoW Macross.
Besides WoW I also play FPS games like CSS, UT3 and Crysis competativeley.
Also I'm planning to bind copy/paste to mouse buttons.
Tilt - wheel is optional.
Mouse should be wired, since it's going to sit in 1 place,
so there's no need to deal with battery switching and such.
I hate Logitechs, their shape makes my fingers go numb,
loved microsoft intellimouse shape, very comfortable for me.
I would prefer right - handed design over ambidextrous if possible.
Also looking for a mat, I like gel mats, just not sure if those are no good 4 gameing?
-
This is what I got to solve the need for bindable buttons.

razer deathadder or la.something
-
Is razer mouse ambi dexterous or designed for right hand?
I'm a rightie so I'd rather have a mouse that fits like a glove,
rather than having to accommodate for left - handed users at my expense. -
-
R u sure it has right - handed design? It looks symmetrical to me.
-
Absolutely sure, it looks somewhat symmetrical from the top, but looking at it from other angles proves it isn't. Try googling some pictures, you'll see it.
Plus the box itself says "Ergonomic Right-Handed Design" or something like that. -
K. Did you experience any numbness in ur fingers when u using it?
When you grab it do you feel like you want to hold it the way it's designed,
or does it feel like holding it different way other than the 1 it was designed for?
It only have 5 buttons tho... I think I'd rather go for 7 with all those WoW macross to keep track off. -
Yah it is right handed for sure. It is also comfy for normal uses, I have a WUXGA screen myself and its great. A good all rounder, the large side buttons are also nice. I have stuck some steel seires mouse grip on it (sides), its just basically bits of foam, makes it extra nice.
-
No numbness at all. Truth be told, first time I used it, it was a bit uncomfortable, I wasn't used to the asymmetrical curvature of the mouse (I used an ambidextrous, Logitech mouse). But as soon as I got used to it, I can't really imagine going back to anything else.
The left side of my palm rests on the higher part of the slope (which is also on the left) while the rest of my palm rests lower on the right. I don't know if that's how the mouse was designed (although I think it is), but that's where I feel the most comfortable. What's worth mentioning is that my hand would cramp up and stiffen a bit with my old mouse if I held it for long periods of time. With the DA, I haven't felt any of that stiffness even after a fairly long gaming-session. Might I mention that the top is covered with some foamy/rubbery material that makes it feel really nice.
Yeah, the lack of buttons was a slight negative, but I feel the rest of it makes up for it. -
go to bestbuy(or simmilar) and try yourself

I'm takeing a closer look at Microsoft Habu it has 7 buttons, right hand design, high precision so far.
Is there a Razer mouse that has 7 buttons+right hand design? -
Get Ze logitech G5 :O
-
Logitech G5 is a laser mouse..hmm okay....
read my thread on 'All you need to know about Gaming mouse'.
Hope it helps..
(its in my signature) -
I own too many gaming mice lol. Here are the ones I've had good results with:
-Ikari Steel Series Laser - extremely precise, 3200dpi @ 1 cpi adjustability, great ergo shape
-Logitech G9 - minor quirks, but still a good mouse
-Ideazon Reaper Edge
-Razer Death Adder
Any of the above should serve you well. -
-
i use a razer lachesis, and it works great. it seems like it would be fine for your left or right hand, i think i heard someone mention that in a review on youtube.
-
What about Microsoft Habu? Is it any good?
-
Wasn't the Habu designed by Razer for Microsoft? I thought about getting one once but the price/features ratio just wasn't there for me. The reviews I read never convinced me to get it. I rarely see it offered in stores now. -
Bottom line: Performance is great, but general ergonomics are not its strong point. -
-
I would buy Razer, they seem pretty sweet, but, alas,
the connoisseurs of gaming mice fall flat on their faces
as they fail to create a mouse that would combine multi - button layout
with right handed design; if you want to go with a mouse that fits your hand like a glove,
you are forced to give up extra buttons.
Extra buttons make it possible to bind grindkill macro, deathcoil and fear
on them to play completely without keyboard and annoying icon - click.
Microsoft Habu seems to be exactly what I need but it has dismal reviews on CompUsa
some people write that it gets broken -
Habu has a terrible sensor...it skips easily.
even though its Razer technolology but i suggest u go for Razer Deathadder if u want Right handed with sufficient buttons. -
O.K. Should I Get razer exact mat with purchasing Deathadder? And should I get compusa 2 year replacement plan that protects you for 2 years after manufacturer warranty expires for $18?
-
Between the Ikari Laser and the Death Adder, I'd defintiely give the edge to the Ikari given its hardware profile switch, 3200 dpi @ 1 cpi increment adjustability, and driverless operation. -
Can the extra button of ikari binded to do something else other than toggle sensitivity? Can You bind it for a WoW macro?
Also how is the ergonomics of ikari compares to deathadder?
I like mice that have nice finger grooves and curvy profile,
so I would put intellimouse explorer at my "most comfortable" edge of continuum
while logitech G7 at the "most uncomfortable". Given these preferences, do you
think I will like ergonomics of Ikari more than Deathadder?
Deathadder looks more "curvier" than ikari. Also the scrollwheel light is just sexy ) -
You need a macro to play WoW? Really???
Recommend Me a Good Gaming/Productivity Mouse! - DEAD
