I am looking for an external monitor for my Dell XPS M1330 with the nVidia graphics card. i have been told that Samsung probably make the best monitors with LG and Sony being good but being a bit over priced so I would probably want to get one of these 3 brands.

I was also looking to get between a 22" and 24" LCD monitor.

I have also seen some LED monitors being advertised but have not really heard of them before.

Any help and suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Samsung and LG make decent monitors. LG have the best warranty in the business. 3 year no dead pixel warranty. Thats why I'd be more inclined to look at a LG.

The new LED monitors coming onto the market cost a bit more, but give better colours etc. Personally, I'd stick with a standard TN panel, they can be picked up real cheap these days. Best bet is to go into a store and have a look see at the different monitors.
