    Hello guys,

I'm an Asus G73Jh-A2 user and recently plan to change me Roccat Kave headset to one on these below:

    1. Steel Series 7H (not the 7H USB)
    2. Logitech G35

Thus, I need you guys opinions on these two headsets. Usually, I will use it for gaming, watching movie and listening to music.

    Gaming = 30%
    Watching movie = 30%
    Music 40%

    Thanks in advance!

from what i have been reading, the logitechs are the better out of the two.... I was having the same dilema as you and i am still trying to figure out what i want, i think its between the senhieser 350pc.. Razer Megalodon and the Turtle Beach x41's (mainly because they are wireless) but im not a huge fan of the big charging stand u gotta lug around... Then senhiesers win hands down for sound quality, they are pricey though, and im not 100 percent sure if they are surround sound or not, hopefully someone can correct me on this.

But for sound quality, the Senheisers are the best for movies and music. Gameing im not 100% sure because im not sure if they support surround sound.

Thanks for the prompt respond. The Steel Series 7H is quite pricey too. :( I really hope that some of the Steel Series 7H users can give me some comments about this headset. I'm kinda into Steel Series 7H as I personally think that it is quite good but I'm not so sure whether it is equipped with Virtual @ True Surround Sound or not?

I'm in the same conundrum. I have a G73 also and we need either a USB headset, a stereo only headset, or an external sound card with multiple output if we want to use the Kaves. I am debating between the G35s and Turtle Beachs w/Sound Blaster Xfi USB.

As a G73 owner I found sonic heaven with a uDAC-2 and a pair of Logitech Ultimate Ears TripleFi 10's

The 2 together take up almost no bag space and give me the highest quality for games and music.

I like the Ultrasone Hfi 2400's also since they fold up for portability, but any headphones that are good quality will suffice.

Just go with a DAC and normal headphones the quality difference between a setup pure and true like this is way better than gimmicky surround stuff.

These are some nasty headphones. There called Beyerdynamic DT 990. I'm confused though, why does this series of headphone change from 600 Ohm to 250 to 32? Can you tell me what the difference is between them and how to find the right dac/amp for each? You think these are good for gaming??

32ohm you can push from any device, 250ohm is going to need a small amp like the uDAC-2, and the 600ohm needs a strong amp.

With a pair of headphones that quality you want not just an amp but also a DAC (unless your using digital out to a decoder of sorts that is a good quality)

The difference between high/low impedance headphones is a few things. Probably best to consult google and search for it because I have read a lot of varying opinions.
