    Hi,

I have to change the cable between my power adaptor and the wall socket. Where can I buy a LIGHT clover power cable ?

The standard clover power cable (also known as C5 type or mickey mouse) is significantly heavy when you have a ultralight notebook (<1,5kg).
Where can we buy a lighter version of this cable?
It makes no sense to have a cable with a large diameter on a low-consumption ultralight notebook ! (It is not a big and highly 3D capable laptop with 17 inch screen consuming a lot of energy. So I don't need the same power cable as these laptop).

Here is the type of cable that I need, but I would like a LIGHT version (not the standard format, which is heavy):

That's lighter, but there is no cable at all, which is limiting possibilities (I guess, this plug must be hard to remove from the socket).

I am looking after a power cable with a thinner diameter, that would be lighter while having a normal length.
The point is, I don't need the same heavy power cable on my light laptop than on a heavy powerful large laptop.

Hmm thats funny, you basically need a cheap non OEM cable.

If you need a USA one I can sell you one. I have a ton of adapters and cables and some of them are definitely way thinner and lighter.

Otherwise I recommend just buying them randomly off ebay for cheap, maybe get one from china.

You can also use this type of cable

with a 3 prong socket/charger. You have to use wire cutters to cut in between the 2 prongs. Some would say, extremely unsafe, however it really depends on if the plastic is rubbery or not. If not it will crack which definitely makes the cord unusable.

Thanks for your answer. I need a EU cable actually.
I didn't it was possible to tweak the power cable with 2 pin to use it ! that might be useful to people having these former power cable.
