This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Recommended Lap Desk/Cooler

    This might have already been mentioned somewhere in the forums, but my search skills are apparently lacking today.

    I've got a new Alienware m17x R3 that I intend to use on the couch (so I can watch TV as well, spend time with the family, etc) and am looking for a good lap desk/cooler.

    I've noticed the majority of the laptop coolers are designed for desks, and therefore not the most comfortable things to put in your lap. So, comfort is my main concern, while some cooling action for the laptop would be secondary (but still desired). I'm not worried about the weight issue, as the laptop itself isn't really that heavy and a small amount of extra weight from a desk/cooler would be fine.

    Anyone out there have a good suggestion?
