Hi all,
I need a new mouse for laptop. Been Browsing around, and found Logitech VX nano is the best so far. But it seems it been around for years.
Does any1 has a recommendation for laptop mouse? Or a new version of VX nano.
I need the 1 with small receiver like vx nano, so it can stay at my laptop forever.
And a carrying case for the mouse. Thxs.

Pretty sure nothing has a nano receiver like the VX Nano.
Besides, why fix something when it isn't broken? I prefer tried and true over new and untested.
VX Nano FTW, and it comes with a case btw. -
Hey there...here is a full page to amazonc.om with wireless mice availi' and the VX Nano is listed first. That is a awesome mouse, hands down!

The VX Nano is a bit cheaper at newegg.com:

Hope that helps a bit!

Thxs all. Yeah so far VX nano is the best candidate.
Small receiver that can stay in my laptop forever, and comes with a carrying case. -
No problem..a good friend has the Nano..and it's a fantastic mouse
If I didnt have my MS BT 5000, I would also own that one!

I use the nano... I love it... though, I'll be honest. If the VX revolution had the nano receiver, there would be no mouse that could stand up to it... save a Bluetooth version, MAYBE.
-
Just get the VX nano x]
I had the bought the VX nano initially, gave it to my little brother, bought the VX revolution, loved that one, but I just bought the Razer Deathadder. So I gave the revolution to my little brother and took the nano.
It's a great mouse and I haven't anything else with a nano receiver. -
Ohh..I think it would be awesome if Logitech made the Nano also availi' completely BTooth w/no receiver needed!

Rumors are you can order a nano receiver replacement from Logitech, and based on the model numbers, you can use setpoint/logitech connection utility to link a VX Rev to a nano receiver.
-
Hmmm. That's a good rumor if true!
Will have to check into it!
thx.

I've read posts that claim the both the VX and MX Revos will work with the Nano's reviever, so it seems to be true.

The Fire Snake Notebook Virtuoso
Are you opposed to bluetooth mice? If not the MS 5000 mouse that Cin suggested is an option. personally I love my Thinkpad Bluetooth mouse. No dongle at all, uses the laptop's internal bluetooth adapter
-
Love my Nano, but the Rev with the nano received would make for awesome kit.
-
Thats good news!
Yup..and the MS 5000 is priced really good right now at amazon.com.
I will be getting another one when my netbook is delivered!

That one by any chance?
Bluetooth mice aren't supposed to be as good as conventional wireless mice, but in my experience (about 2 hours now), they work very well! -
Logitech VX nano is my best option and alternatives for that.
here are some good Features :
* Plug-and-forget nano-receiver that's barely larger than a coin
* Robust wireless connection with advanced 2.4 GHz cordless technology
* Always ready, since you can leave the nano-receiver plugged into your notebook all the time
* Stylish pouch to protect your mouse when it's not in use
* Longer battery life--up to 6 months of use (or longer with the convenient on/off switch)
* Slim, ultra-portable mouse design that slips easily into your notebook bag
* Storable receiver fits inside the mouse when you need to free up a USB port; shuts down when stored to save battery life
* Hyper-fast scrolling with the nearly frictionless scroll wheel
* Forward/backward buttons for effortless Internet navigation
* Five programmable buttons for customized mouse controls
* Smoother cursor control on virtually any surface -

using the standard energizer AA batteries my vx revolution never pass 2months point in battery life, it keeps me wonder how do they estimate the battery life on these stuff... like the previous standard on mpg on cars?
additional information: vx mouses (nano/revolution) are 800dpi, i would say this is sufficient for most as i have recently found out from my lachesis i am running at 200-300dpi most of the time(what a waste on a 4k dpi sensor
