After spending days researching the Net for reviews I realized there are there are only 2 open air earphones worth considering under $50, the Sennheiser PX100 or the Koss PortaPro.
I can't believe the Px100 headphones just cost $39.99.Do you use Sennheiser PX 100 ? These things are a dream to all purchased: light weight, comfortable, great sound, portable and cheap. Me as well.
At lasr the PX100s pushed their way into my candidates list due to a clever fold up design that squeezes them into an eyeglass-sized case (145 x 75 x 27 mm).And from a price-performance perspective, the PX100s are a big winner in my book. The only thing I find is that they might drain the battery a bit more than the stock ear buds.
Everyone is going to have a different experience, I am a bass lover, and these did not disappoint.

You are definitely not the only one who was blown away by the PX100's performance. A lot of people on this forum, including myself, totally agree. They are definitely one of the best sub $50 headphones you can buy.
The only downside is if you live in Canada, they cost more than $50. I bought mine at Tigerdirect for 45 bucks when they first came out. About a month later (around the time a lot of good reviews came out), they upped the price to 80 bucks. Likewise with Futureshop, they also upped the price to 80 bucks (even though it costs them only 40 bucks to put it on the shelf).
Now I need to replace mine, as they seem to crackle when I listen to something with a ton of bass... but part of that reason I think is because I unplugged them from my amplifier a few times while it was still on. Still extremely happy with them though. FYI they make a great Christmas present to anyone who has used $5 headphones all their life -
I haven't had the opportunity to listen to PX100s yet, but I have been more than pleased with my KSC-75s, especially for the <$10 I paid for them. They have an updated Porta-Pro driver, which some people like more than the original, but of course it goes both ways. Unfortunately, all my pairs of KSC-75s have broken in one way or another. I'll definitely keep my eye out for another pair, or possibly the PX100s, or something else. I only need them for portable use, I've got a couple decent pairs for desk use

Er...I am a new to most electronic product, just know a little. But the PX100's seem to perform creditably as you say. Maybe you are right it's a good present send for my friends.

The KSC-75s seem cheaper than the PX100's ,both two are good choice

They are cheaper, but keep in mind that they do use the ear clips instead of a head band. May or may not be something you like, but I personally prefer a headband.

I have a pair of Px200 and I'm pretty satisfied with it

I couldn't agree more.
