I just ran across these at www.lifehacker.com, they are retractable USB and ethernet cords with adapters for different USB plugs, etc. Kind of an all in one traveling option. Here are some random examples from amazon.

Has anyone used these, any particular one they like?

I have not used any of the ones from the links you provided, but I have used retractable CAT5/RJ45/IEEE1394/USB. I have been pleased with them, and they work well for travelling.

I got a "kit" of all the cables I just talked about free after rebates from Tigerdirect.com.
