So, yesterday I received my new booq sleeve, made for a 17" PowerBook. But do I have a PowerBook? No, no I dont. I have a 15.4" HP dv6000t, and guess what...the booq sleeve fits almost perfectly! There's about an extra inch of room total lengthwise, but since my laptop is thicker than a PowerBook, the sleeve holds it so tight it doesn't matter.

This sleeve, which used to retail for around $55 (without shipping), was only $15 shipped for me. I must say, I am VERY satisfied with this purchase.

If any of you guys are looking for a nice, high-quality sleeve for your 15.4" laptop, then I highly recommend this sleeve!

Also, is it bad for me to put my laptop in the sleeve and zip it up while it's going into hibernation mode? It takes it unusually long (atleast 2 minutes from when I close it) to go into hibernation mode, and I see no point in just watching it. Could this cause heat problems??

I have the Booq Boa XM system which is made to fit 15.4" or smaller systems but it fits my e 1705 nonetheless as well as my new dv9000 - I once fit both my e1705 and mBp in it while travelling to Asia

2 minutes to hibernate?! my macbook goes into it's sleep thing when I close it in a matter of seconds. <20 tops.

It would depend on the heat and what it was doing prior to you closing it though. If you had it plugged in playing world of warcraft for the past hour it's going to be pretty darn warm and I would wait a few minutes before putting it in personally. However it will still be cooling off inside the case (just not as quickly as if it were outside of it)

I have a incase for my macbook and I normally wait a minute or so before I put it in there. but the macbook does not have that good of ventilation IMO.

I don't think you can hurt it either way :)

Yeah I'm using Vista. It's weird though...it only takes maybe 15-20 secs for it to actually shut down, but hibernation always takes at least 1 minute, usually 2.
