The video review of a awesome mechanical keyboard that uses Cherry MX switches.

The Model S Professional featured in this review uses Cherry MX Blue switches, these offer both a clicking sound when pressed as well as tactile feedback.

Highlights - Standard Layout, Full N Key Roll Over, Long USB Cable, PS2 Support (with adapter included), 2 Port USB 2.0 HUB, Good Price for Mech Keyboard.

Wishlist - Backlight Option, Relocated USB Ports, Cherry MX Clear Option

Watch the video for the full review and please share your thoughts and opinions.

My best is like 105wpm, I start to make too many errors or lose the ability to read what I type if I go faster.

I have gone as high as 150wpm+ in burst with easy sentences but with any test that is at least a minute long I get much closer to the 100wpm area.

One day I may try DVORAK setup and see how much higher I can go, the Das Keyboard Ultimate seems ideal to try a DVORAK keyboard layout since it has blank keys, that way you will not get distracted with the standard QWERTY key layout labels on the keys.

I'd love to get the Das Ultimate Silent for work but it would never work since its a shared PC and too many people need the labels to type.

I have a Das at each of my work locations with my docking setup.

Definitely dissuades these 'hot desking' idiots who always leave my desk in a state when I'm at another office :D

I would so do the same if I had my own computer/desk but I share mine with another manager and occasionally other team members may need the computer.

I blagged mine because 'I have one at home, and it's the best available keyboard to mitigate the RSI in my wrists' ;)

I use a Das Keyboard Ultimate, and love it. The USB ports are placed fine, in my opinion. I don't need backlighting on my keys, for obvious reasons. And I love the clicking sound, so no interest in MX Clears, either.

Damn you vicious, didn't think I could sit through 15 minutes of a keyboard review, lol. Well done. Not only that, I want to buy one now. Only thing that hold me off is that I am hard on my keyboards, crumbs, dropping, kids, etc. So for now either laptop keyboard or cheapo $12.

I agree with USB ports on right side though. I hate stuff on the right side, mouse always bangs into it.

92 WPM is pretty darn good. I do about 80-90 personally, used to do over 100 but not any more. My aging hands can't handle it I guess, lol.

Nice vid! However I have do have two questions:

    1) Who's foot is that at 12:18 into the video? They look lovely, and I have a foot fetish. More please!

    2) You have what appears to be a full sleeve on your right arm. Why are you covering up your tats?!

How much does one of these mechanical keyboards typically run you?

Heh I show off my tattoos sometimes, but when I am going to be on camera I try to look professional.

I was wearing my normal work cloths for this one because I was going to work shortly after filming.

    Nice review. ^^

Depends on what you are looking for really. If you looked hard enough you'll find pretty decent ones on ebay for $50 or less. That'd said, as mentioned in the review most cheaper mechanical keyboards do lack in terms of build quality. But there are always bargains to be found!

Try to keep it on topic will ya? :p

You mean this vicious looking foot?

I don't want to strum OT either, but it is curious. I think it's ViciousXUSMC's foot reflected off something because it's someone's left foot on his right side with really no room for anyone to be sitting there.
