RhinoSkin ABS HardCase for MacBook Pro 17"

A few months ago I bought this case...

So now I feel qualified to review it.

Pros:
Fits the MacBook Pro perfectly
Provides excellent protection from dings and scratches
You never have to take the notebook out of the case
Clip-on accessory case is perfect for my AC adapter and Sprint mobile broadband card

Cons:
Doors for port access broke off quickly
Bulky to fit the laptop inside the case inside a bag...especially with the accessory case
No option to hold top half of case up behind monitor (as the pictures show)...it only flips under

Last fall my wife was trying to get my attention while I was using my MBP, so she gave the screen a little tug backwards. Disaster...she broke the hinges, so the screen would no longer stay up.

I didn't want to fork over the $900 for a new screen, so I found this case and thought from the pictures that I could use it to prop up the screen. No such luck.

That said, I still found the case to be practical and a definite conversation starter. It keeps my lap cool, that's for sure.

 

Wow, this sounds cool. I've been looking for a strong case for my Macbook. I've had a hard time finding one ever since the new ones came out! AND I just found these (along with a really cool aluminum one!) for 40% off at mfgdirect.com !!! Even better. Thanks for the help!
