It used to be the Steelseries Qck, but over the years the Qck has increased in price. I don't know why. I bought my Qck Mass 5 years ago for $10, now I can't find it for less than $23.

I went to Micro Center and saw the normal Qck, it's small and very thin. Not very much for your money, though it is cheap.

From my view of the Qck normal, can tell I wanted something more substantial for my money and did not want to spend $23 for my $10 Mass mat. I found Roccat Taito.

Roccat Taito mid-size is $13 on NewEgg and you can find free two day shipping. It's 3mm thick advertised, but I think it's more. Difference between the Mass and Taito thickness is minimal, and really not that noticable. What is noticable is the SIZE and the Smoothness. It's a very comfortable mat, it's much much bigger than a Qck/Qck Mass. BTW Qck Heavy/+ are quite expensive as well. And it's smooth.

With gaming mouse going back to basics. Low lift off, for those who sweep their mouse with low dpi and zero acceleration and prediction, Zowie and a few others are returning to this. An all black surface is the best for these sensors. Roccat Taito fits the bill. Huge. Enough room for those FPS using low sensitivity and all black smooth surface, perfect for sensor tracking.

That's my take on the Roccat Taito. I don't know what is the best. But this is the best mousepad for your money.
