What are your thoughts. I just bought this new mouse pad and i like it.
-Its big which doesn't allow my mouse to slip off while playing games
- Its 2 sides (Control and Speed) offer a great balance between high, low sensitivity users
-Durable Steel metal
-Easier to clean than my old mouse pad
-Cheap price (30$ CND)
-
I saw these when I was in a local Future Shop a while ago. I almost bought one but I read that these pads ate thru mouse feet fairly quickly, especially on the control side. But as a gamer the speed side will probably get used the most. Rocketfish products are Best Buy's in-house brand.

I have it and it's great. If you have questions on it you can ask..
-
I have RocketFish HDMI cables, didn't even know they made mouse pads too.
-

Here's what Rocketfish 'make'...

..and by 'make' I mean they simply put their logo on something cheap and call it a day. I'm still interested in their laptop cooler tho'. -
I have the steel RocketFish gaming mouse pad and was very happy with it at first, utilizing both speed and control sides depending on which game I was playing. Phenomenal. It's 6 months into ownership and it has destroyed the feet on my Logitech G5. I bought it at the same time as the mouse pad. All that white stuff that is "so easy to clean" is the feet from your mouse. I will be contacting RocketFish demanding compensation for my newly acquired G5 Paperweight Edition and a refund for the...umm...gaming mouse pad? I don't want to sound like I'm bashing RocketFish because the truth is this is my first time using the brand. They could be great for all I know, but their steel gaming mouse pad is no good. I'm sending pictures of the feet and the white spots covering the mouse pad that used to be the feet in the e-mail. If anything is done about it I will post.

How does the rocketfish gaming pad compare to say the razer exactmat which also has dual sides and is made out of a metal core?
-
Lol you resurrected an ancient thread nizzy but to answer your question im pretty sure that the Razer would be a better go because well...Razer is a gaming company and i would trust it more than the rocketfish.
however i do believe they are the same material. Check the dimensions, maybe one is bigger than the other -
I didnt mean to! it was the guy above me and i didnt see the other dates. I have the razer exactmat and like it a lot but i was just curious if i could have saved a few bones and got the rocketfish.
-
Oh im pretty sure the exact mat is much better than the Rocketfish
-
I've had one for many months now and I got it because I needed a good pad for my Razer Lachesis which is yet to have any issues with it at all.
At first I used the smooth side, but then after a bit i found that the control rougher side was a good bit better for gaming and all the stuff i was doing. Its been fine on the Lachesis' pads too.
Can't say I can compare it to a Razer mat yet though, as i am yet to try one. -
I got myself a Thermaltake Gamma Pad a few months ago. It's been working fantastic with my G9 mouse since then. Hard acrylic surface that doesn't wear down mouse feet, good surface area, and color-changing USB powered LED's.
It's a fantastic pad even without the lights, and they just make the perfect finishing touch. Very nice if you have any lighting in your case or something. -
I have that Gamma pad too and i do love it but after 7 months i must warn it does in fact EAT feet. Iv'e already had to replace my Lachesis's feet. Where as my 2 year old G5's feet on my other pad are still going strong.
-
Speed side blows, but control sides do wear out ur feet. -
Ah well. I think I'll order some replacement feet from Logitech just in case. They're $2, not like I have much to lose.
Thanks for the heads up.
