    I'am looking for a S-video cable to hook my asus g1s to my tv.
    My asus has a 7-pin connector and my tv has a 4-pin connector.
    The only cables i can find are 4-pin connectors to 4-pin connectors.

    Need advice plz

    S-video is 4-pin. The extra pins on your connector is for adapters, so that you can, for instance, connect using a Composite-cable (you got an adapter with your laptop).

    What do you mean. That i can plug the 4-pin connector into the 7-pin one.
    I don't really understand what you mean with the adapter.

    Exactly.

    What I mean by adapter is a cable that is a Seven pin connector on one side and a completly (not s-video) on the other. It looks like this:

    That's what the extra pins are for. S-Video only use the 4-pins.
