One of the biggest complaints I have of cheaper LCD monitors is the viewing angles. I'm skeptical of the advertised boost in viewing angle for these new Samsungs. I'm curious what, if anything, have people heard of these LCD panels.

Interesting, I hadn't heard of this model yet.

    MagicAngle Technology
Love to watch movies lying down or while you’re cooking dinner? The Samsung's MagicAngle uses 5-step angle management to deliver crisp images and bold color from every direction. So whether your view is from above, below or from the side, images stay the same.

I wonder if it works too.

It is relatively new. But since I know very little about LCD panels, I was hoping one of the monitor geeks lurking in the shadows would provide us with some insight.

Well the Samsung F2380 is a cheap monitor with cPVA panel, that has decent viewing angles for sure.

Humm, I had a Dell monitor with an sPVA panel, which is still kicking.

I'll just have to see this cPVA thing in action. Meanwhile, I'll just suck it up and pony up for a Dell Ultrasharp....

It is okay, but i still prefer a H-IPS Panel LCD. The colour is bright on the samsung unit, but it is inaccurate.

I figure it was an improvement on the viewing angles and not on colors.

I was looking to add another monitor for one of my setups at work. The extra screen real estate will trump the crappy colors IMO. Plus I'm not going to recommend that we cough up twice the amount of money for a H-IPS screen.
