SAMSUNG S23A950D and the 7970m in 3D

I guess to begin I'm not completely sure if this is where you post this kind of stuff so I apologize mods and fellow peers if this is the wrong section.

So onto the topic, I'm planning to get the Sager 9150 w/ 7970m and I've recently been getting really into the 3D hype, looks great to me and I'm loving it. However I'm met with some difficulty in choosing which monitor to go with.

The main monitor I've been looking at is the SAMSUNG S23A950D which seems to have a great contest ratio, response time and just an overall sleek look. I was simply wondering if this monitor would be compatible with the 7970m in terms of 3D capabilities and whether there was a better monitor choice. I should also note that I'll also be using this as a tv for cable.

TL;DR SAMSUNG S23A950D for 3D monitor choice w/ ATi 7970m or something else?

It says under "General Features"
"OS Compatibility 2D Yes, 3D No"

Not sure what that means.. but I would imagine 3D should work on a laptop? I'm slightly confused, so I hope you know this better than me
