SC2 people who own the Logitech G700

Do you guys have your hot keys or any type of macro oriented things set to your macro buttons on the mouse? or do they just sit idle? im really digging this mouse, or should I just open for a regular gameing mouse. I really want wireless tho. I supposed I can just always get this mouse, but im curious to see if anyone uses this macro buttons for anything while gameing sc2???

 

You could, and it may feel good after your used too it. My thing though is you would become dependant on it.

So when the time comes you do not have the mouse your keyboard only game will suck, or if you have to get a new mouse that is not the g700 in the future.

 

Only reason I haven't set up any macros on my G9. Most hotkeys in SC2 are fairly straightforward as well. Not sure what I could set it to that would help me much.

 

well most hotkeys are easy to reach for me but not the 6-0 numbers or any of the F keys, that is what I would use on the mouse if anything.

I limit my control groups because of this, if i cant hit them without looking in a pinch I just dont use them.

 

That's true. I see people using 8,9,0 but for the same reason, I don't use hotkeys above 5. I usually don't need that many control groups though.

 

it would be sweet, to make a macro button,, like command center, then build SCV.... and like what buddy said about get control f1 as another to slect idle probes.

 

i generally use the 8-9-0 for my production building

i have only one and one single macro for standar sc2 games on my mamba and thats for the start up build it select the nearest nexus and stard building a drone gives me 1/2 a second advantage but that might b all i need to cut a rush

 

Is there a hotkey to select the nearest base?

 

there was one during beta

but now the only was to do it is press space and click right after it only works at the very beginin of the game
