    Hey Guys,

I bought an SD card a while ago and now it is somewhat useless.
I am not sure what the problem is exactly. I cannot write large files to it.
It will just hang there. The files that I transfered for the first time after noticing this problem are not deletable.

It's either the partition table is corrupt or theirs a few bad sectors that are causing the problems.
I am not sure how to tell. Some programs say one, others say the other one.
I also tried gParted under linux and it wasnt able to format it to NTFS and back to FAT32.

    Thanks for any help

How are you connecting it to your computer? I sometimes have a problem with huge transfers to my thumb drives when I use my (powered) usb hub. Sometimes it helps to plug it directly into my computer.

Fat32 has a size limit. Is it running as NTFS?

Sounds to me like you may have been removing it without shutting it down first....

It may have gone dead...very common after only a few months in sds and USB flash drives if you don't properly remove them.

    Damn it...
It's actually a microSD card that I use on my phone, which doesn't have a "remove safely" feature, or never found it...

The 'remove safely' feature is located in the system tray of your laptop when it is inserted....see attached

I mentioned on my last post that it was for my phone.

I actually found it now, but it's really well "hideen" in a ton of menus before getting there.
