I have 2 Lacie 2.5 external hard drives.

I travel alot with my laptop, and I would love to have a safety holder/bag which could take BOTH 2.5 harddrives. Any suggestions?

If not, which one would you suggest? And where to buy in the UK.

    Many thanks

PS: I just came across this website

I might possibly get this one - two 2.5 hard drives (without accessories)

Well, I carry my WB 2,5" passport drive in the main compartment with my laptop...

All you really need to make sure with your bag is that you have some internal pockets - the pockets themselves don't need anything to keep them in place or open/close etc.

You may even find space in your current laptop bag - if you only travel withit with no "on the go" access you'd be alright putting them side by side on top of your laptop.

Thank you for the input. I have purchased the Sweex protection bag, and both hd's fit inside, perfect for what I need. I think I am a bit overprotective, thats why I didnt really want to use laptop bag, but now I have the Sweex, I will place that inside my laptop bag for extra protection :) and I have my hd cables in the Sweex so its all together now.

The product link isn't working. :(

I tended to just reuse bubble wrap lined mail packs that I get from buying stuff on line. If you generally have it in your carry on bag then it should be fine. Putting it in a check -in luggage is questionable.

Scissors, bubble wrap and tape- make your own little sleeve for each drive.

The question is how much protection you want I guess. Looks like this bag affords adequate protection for everyday use - not against impacts as such, but just regular handling.

Personally, I like the disks themselves to be robust - so use Freecom Toughdrives. When I need my disks actually protected, I use the smaller Storm Cases for transport.

I use an Incase neoprene sleeve to carry around my 2.5" hard drives. The pouch is made for GPS units, but it fits my 2.5" hard drives perfectly and has a divider so you can store them separately in the same pouch. Here's a link:

They're $19.99 at Target. I use the same sleeve for my 3G iTouch 64GB. It, too, fits perfectly with room for the docking cable and other accessories such as ear buds.

Before Incase, I was also considering Speck and CaseLogic solutions as well (see links).
