ARGH! I cant decide the eclipse 3 looks amazing and the Reclusa is very good as well which one should i go for? Im thinking of getting the eclipse 3 as it has Blue AND Red backlighting also buying a red Razer Lachesis with it.
SO what do you guys think? If you were in my shoes which would you take? Thank you in advance.

I mean, I don't have it..but I have been reviewing them online, as there have been some good deals going on lately with the Saitek's
It just has good *curb appeal*

Look's like the pricing is the same on the Saitek E3...

They made a third one? Dang!
I still have the original (red) and love it! My cousin has the second version and I think it also looks very sexy, especially the multicolor options and additional multimedia keys. -

Yeah I have the Gamers the best keyboard I ever had still holding up great many years later. I wonder what the new Eclipse has over the II
-
Is it ok, that I'm not really a *gamer*, and the more I look at these Saitek's..I want one?? They get great reviews..
(I have a Nintendo DS Lite..so maybe just a slight gamer)????

thats ok cin im 100% the saitek draws you because of all the backlight colors i know thats why i like it
ive decided that the Reclusa is not for me BECAUSE i dont like that blue scheme im more of a red guy so its gonna either be the eclipse 3 vs microsoft sidewinder one of the two.
also for mouse itll either be the microsoft sidewinder mouse or the Razer Lachesis Red
Darn but the eclipse 3 is so new that there is like no reviews also i heard saitek's support is less then ideal.......or just crappy has anyone experienced and support issues with them? Thanks -
The Saitek Cyborg is a good looking keyboard too.

LOL speaking of Cyborg for mouses throw the Saitek Cyborg Mouse in mix

vinceboiii Animals are friends, not food.

No-one's mentioned whether the keyboard itself is any good.
I like the Reclusa as a keyboard in terms of the key action, and prefer it over the Eclipses I've had to date (not the 3). It's good quality, as is the construction - very solid, with the exception (common to almost every keyboard tho) of the wrist rest mounting parts snapping off if you're of the type to attach/detach them often according to where you're suing the keyboard. The blue scheme is... well, a bit boring but the backlight does what it is supposed to. One thing I DO NOT like about the Reclusa is the shortcut keys being so near to the shift key - many's the time I've launched iTunes by mistake while shifting vigorously in a game.
Generally speaking I prefer scissor-action keyboards for everyday use (well, the exception being the godawful 'you might as well be banging your fingers directly on the table' Apple keyboard): The action is more responsive to my typing. Logitech has the Illuminated Keyboard, which is my next board to try. -
It's a sweet keyboard that's why!
Oh both mice are sweet that your looking at...I say..go with the Lachesis!

Thank you Vogel for going in depth like that you have helped me a great dealyeah the reclusa shortcut keys seem very close to the typing keys itself hence why i preferred the Sidewinder i think it is a decent size and the fact you can take off the number pad and attach it to the other side is cool too
Cin yep that Lachesis is one sick mousei also like the really expensive SteelSeries mouse but i think it costs too much
-
No one likes the Logitech Illuminated? I think the glass trim is classy lol.
& Yeah the Razer Lachesis is sick! 4000 DPI, insanely useless to me, but I ordered the phantom white one so it's not distracting. -

the illumintad is nice but it would have been cool if there were usb ports on the keyboard -
saitek cyborg keyboard has Customizable backlighting schemes, Plenty of programmable macro keys but it is more Confusing and unpolished software, Poor typing experience, Poor support and documentation compared to eclipse 3
-
@Red: Why do you need USB ports? It's also too slim to have any so I guess not =/
-
I hope you end up getting it!

Great question Ram its because when you play games you can connect your headset to the keyboard and also if you have two usb ports you can your mouse AND your headset to the keyboard its pretty cool because everything is right in front of you and you dont have to worry about the length being to small
Thanks Cin im gonna make my decision by the end of the week ill keep you guys posted -
