You'll need some sort of TV tuner to also connect your TV.

Also, unless you're stuck on Samsung, check around on newegg. You can get a 22" one for around the same, if not less.

    I payed 260 bux for a 22" Acer.

That was just the first one that i found that had the 1680X1050 Res that i wanted. But im sure i could do quite a bit of looking and get a cheaper, better quality, (not name brand) larger one. IF I looked more.

Adinu has a point... since the 206BW only has VGA and DVI inputs, you'll need some extra hardware to watch TV on it.

I haven't seen the 206BW firsthand, but I was very impressed with it's predecessor, the 205BW. Image quality was excellent for a TN panel.

I have the big brother of this monitor (226BW), it only has a DVI and VGA so you would need something else to hook a TV up to it.

Just remember that a 22" one at the same resolution will have a higher pixel pitch. This shouldn't really be a big deal though, but I have the 22" Sammy, and I would have preferred the 20" because of the smaller pixel pitch.

As far as looking on newegg, it is always a good idea, but the Samsung is one of the best LCDs out at the moment. I would rather pay a few extra bucks for it, however, if you want to look for a TV/monitor, I suggest you look at some other models with the appropriate inputs (Check out some of Dell's monitors).

Actually you can watch tv on it through the DVI-D.

Since this monitor is HDCP enabled, if you have a high defintion cable box with DVI or even HDMI output (you'd need a converter to DVI if you use HDMI) you will get have a high definition television.

just need the cable box though....and hook your laptop or desktop up to it through VGA.
