    I was just wondering if anyone makes some sort of screen cover (maybe a thin sheet of plastic) that would take the glare out of a glossy screen. I would see it being used in areas with bright, uncontrollable lighting. Thanks :D

    I don't know... but someone mentioned a shop that would turn your glossy screen into a Matte for a fee.

    I would love to have an answer to this question as well. Finding a gaming laptop with a matte screen is almost impossible these days. If there was something to help kill the reflections/glare on the glossy laptops I would be a very happy person. :D

    i dont think that a cover exsists because if you put something over it the glare would still be there .

    mayby you can work with some sort of spray .or if you open your screen and take the glare out

    Hi all,

    I also read on the polarization procedure, also visited their
    site, about $100 US, can't remember their name.

    ( It's posted somewhere in the forums )

    However, it has been mentioned that these work;

    http://cms.3m.com/cms/US/en/2-22/FiiulFT/view.jhtml

    You can find these around the web for about $10 less
    than the list price, I can't vouch for them myself, I
    believe some folks here have used them.

    Hope that helps, Regards, don

    There is the WSXGA+ Compal HEL80 and the HP nc8430. Both come with matte screens.

    The 3M privacy filters may do the trick but are expensive.

    PortableOne offers that transflective screen on their offerings which I hear is spectacular--a cross between the glossy/matte screens.

    The Vikuiti (a 3M brand) ARMR200 cover is the only with anti-reflective properties. The others are basically just for screen protection. The problem is that Vikuiti covers only last for about 3 months and cost about 25 EUR each... that is, 100 EUR / year!
