    I just reached the " 10GB-left" mark of my 2TB Drive, and my 1TB drive is also close to full. :D

    Yeah 1TB drives are so yesterday. My drive has been full for a few months now but mine is a portable 2.5" drive and I'm waiting for 2TB to come to that size. Seagate has a 2.5" 1.5TB drive but it's 15mm, I believe. Seagate is really the leader in releasing the first largest capacity drives and hybrid solutions. But in the end, I still prefer WD.

    I wonder what the year-to-year failure rate is going to be on these. My experiences lead me to believe the higher the capacity (above 1TB) the lower the reliability.

    Yeah id like to know the failure rates before i put 4TB worth of data in it.

    More platters, heads & moving parts = more points of failure

    My 2tb external has less than 500gb left on it, and the 4tb RAID array in my HTPC is also pretty full...
