Does any one have one of these?? I was initially looking for a NAS devise to hook up the house and office, but now I'm thinking a simple External HDD will suffice. I've been looking around but can't find any solid reviews (or more importantly, compraisons) when it comes to external HDD's. Useage is simply for back up as it's something I haven't done in sucha long time and have decided that I need to get on top of it before the worst happens. I like the look of these and seem fairly cheap too. I did look into the WD worldbooks that you can access, from anywhere as I liked this option should I need something I didn't have with me, but after some reviews I decided that these were not as ggood as they sounded (and expensive).

All/any advice would be greatly appreaciated as obviously I want to get on top of this situation and get everything backed up as soon as possible.

i have one. works great. i just wish the the activity light was more noticeable because it's just a pulsing orange dot admist other light. Also that the power button was more tactile and actually a button instead of that touch crap. Haven't used the Esata or the firewire so I can't speak for their speeds but as for usb 2.0 speeds, it's as fast as usb lets it be.

I have the FreeAgent Go and it works great. 120 gigs, small, does not have a power button. Plug it in and your good to go.

Instead of a NAS, I've been thinking about connecting a standard USB HDD to computer that is already on the network . This seems easier to me. I get to configure the OS on the computer instead of a proprietary setup on an external HDD.
