So I bought a 160gb seagate portable hard drive.
My question is...why does the included usb cable have 2 heads on one of the ends?
One being only power and the other being power/data?

I find it a hassle having to look at the usb heads and reading their label to see which one is the power/data one. Isn't the only power usb head pretty useless?

Please enlighten me as to why seagate added this "power" only head.

    Thanks,

On some systems, the USB ports don't deliver enough power to run the drive. In that case, you would need both plugs for the drive to function. For the most part, you only need the Power+Data plug.

    Alright, thanks sgip2000

I'm probably going to buy another usb cable so I don't have to deal with the extra power head then..

    Thanks!
