    Hi guys :hi2:

Right now i have an Orion backpack which i purchased last xmas, but i am not really happy with it since i am used to targus style backpacks like the old one that Dell included with the original XPS m1710 and also a really old model that was discontinued some years ago.

I'm a System Admin/DBA that usually works in a office but i could eventually go to a client, i'm living in europe and i move around the city basically using public transportation (train, subway and bus), most of the time i have to wear suit and tie (and just pants and Shirt on summer), i'm on my way of getting BYOC (Bring your own computer) approved for me so i'll be bringing my m17x R4 and Notepal U3 with me all the time along with my mouse, WD Elements HDD, AC Adapter and small stuff like a flash drive, watter bottle (600ml), mobile phone, etc.

So what i need is a big backpack with enough room for the stuff i mentioned (maybe i'll swap the U3 for a SF-19), comfort and sturdiness are my main focus for the backpack i'm looking for since i have some back problems, so of course i won't be carrying all of it on my back all the time, maybe for no more than 800 mts at a time, but i needed it to be comfortable for those periods of time.

I've heard the Targus 17" XL is a good choice, also heard some good reviews for the Outdoor Products Power Pack. Have any of you had the chance to use them? What are your recommendations?

    Main focus:
    - Comfortable
    - Sturdy.
    - Durable.
    - Pockets and space for water bottle and maybe mp3/mobile pocket with a hole to pass the earphones and listen to music.
    - Material that allow some breathing and not get my back all soaked in sweat during summer.

Things that could be interesting to have:
    - Weather proof (mostly rain)
    - Zippers that allow the use of locks.
    - Anything that could be interesting.

    Thank you.
    Regards.

    EDIT:
    P.S. I forgot to mention i am 6' 4" and weigh around 282 Lbs

Haven't used that Targus in particular but friend had a Targus and he likes it a lot. Not hundred percent if it's the holy grail or a doo doo bird but yeah. Please consider that I haven't used this backpack, my friend has.

I have the Everki Titan which I use as my work bag right now. The thing is huge and should have no problem fitting everything you listed.

They're expensive compared to your average mass-produced-in-Asia bags, but not expensive when you compare their equivalents. You can probably expect better support (I've not had to call them for any of my packs - I have the Vandal, Sanction, and an Arkiv right now - so I couldn't say that with absolute authority) and more readiness to stand behind their product when/if things go wrong. Plus more interesting product in general.

You might want a sleeve for the Alienware. Contact'em and ask if you have questions. The guys who started Mission are actually Chrome's original founders - Chrome has gone 'corporate' following its sale, and these guys cranked up Mission after their noncompete expired.

I just got one also. Never thought I'd buy an "ordinary" backpack (i.e. no frame) for over $100, but as you say the price was right. :)

Newegg has a good price and topping that they sent out 20% off coupon on backpacks, for those willing to endure the ongoing e-mail barrage. Hard to say if you'd get the coupon if you sign up now. Perhaps worth trying as the coupon is good thru Sunday June 2, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I got my Everki Titan yesterday. A tad heavy. But then it's a BIG backpack, quality materials/construction, with great shoulder straps, and loaded with padding!
