I'm not positive, but from looking at my Dell D620, I don't think there is any slot for a laptop lock. Correct me if I'm wrong though. Is there any way I can buy some kind of lock for this laptop or am I just on my own?

I thought I saw one on the left side...

but anyways the D620 is very secure (at least compared to other notebooks I've seen) in regards to software!

So secure that I couldn't log on sometimes...

Yeah, make sure you get all of the log-in stuff to work.

For some reason my BIOS password (fingerprint) was fine, but I set it so that the Windows login would accept that, and everything was wierd sometimes- it would change my user name from Xxxx Xxxxx to xxxx xxxxx, which kept me from logging in, and it would ask for fingerprints and then deny them, even though I know I scanned them correctly, etc...

I hope you get everything working.

edit- There's also probably room to slip a cable in between the notebook screen and chassis, between the two hinges. Or you could get one of those locks that you see at computer stores with a slotted bar. You stick the screen through the slot and then lock the bar to the table. I always thought those looked way more secure than cables.
