Are there any cooling pads you recommend that also prop up your laptop so that the monitor is higher up?

Most cooling pads are designed to lift the back end of your notebook up at an angle. A couple that most people would recommend to you would be the CoolerMaster NotePal U2 or U3 (2 or 3 moveable fans), ThermalTake Massive23 series (there's a couple different models with different features), and the behemoth ones that fit giant notebooks: the NZXT Cryo LX and the CoolerMaster SF-19 (these run on outlet power because they use case fans and you can swap out the fans).

I've personally been through all of them and I've decided to stay with the SF-19 just because of the USB hub and the flashy lights as well as the replaceable fans.

I believe all of the ones I've named give your laptop some degree of angle. I'd say the Notepal series has the best angle. The ones with bigger fans tend to be less subtle.

Do any of these cooling pads blow air into the bottom? Because my laptop vents it's heat on the left side so I'm guessing I need a pad that blows cool air instead of sucking the air out.

Yes. The idea behind a notebook cooler is to blow cool air into the laptop. Laptops already have exhaust fans which blow hot air out (or try to) but no source of good air intake outside of a laptop cooler.

What s2odin said is generally true. All the ones I have named blow air against the bottom of your laptop. However, in my experience with the Antec notebook cooler (no model designation but this one precisely http://www.amazon.com/Antec-Notebook-Cooler-USB-Powered/dp/B0000BVYTV), drawing air out the bottom and away from the laptop works decently well.

However, with that Antec, you have to make sure the vents on your laptop line up with the two fans on the cooler. The extra holes are actually filled because otherwise, the fans would have no suction power.

I have been using the Cooler master SF-19 for a week or so and I really like it. It sits up, AC powered and has a four port USB 3.0 hub..

I want one for my G73 as well, does the laptop stay solidly in place with the CoolerMaster SF-19? I have limited desk space and do not want to use an external KB. Thanks for any input
Here Is one review I found http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHgH_VebIU0
I just order this http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-NC3000U-NC-3000U-Notebook-Cooler/dp/B003OXC2ZQ on the recommendation of a very respected forum member. I do not see the point of the light show that comes with one of the other highly touted coolers mentioned in this thread.

O have the Ergostand that Geekz listed. It's somewhat ridiculously tall if you're used to typing on a flat surface, but the fan is enormous and if you're like me and prefer steep-angled keyboards, it works quite well at the lowest setting.

I think all of the cooling pad will lift the laptop up a bit. It's now really depends on how they look and performance now.
