I have used this Dell BH200 headset for a couple of years now. The ear pads have gotten too worn out, so I'm looking for a replacement. I would just buy the same model again, but they don't appear available anymore.
What I love about the BH200 is that it not only has relatively good sound quality outside of headset mode, but also that it's super convenient. Bluetooth means no wires, so I keep the headset folded up on my desk. When I want to use it, I put it on my ears and press the power button twice. Connection established. That's it. Sounds great, it's lightweight and comfortable, and most of all incredibly easy. I just have to charge it every once in a while.
I don't even care about the head"set" aspect. I don't need it for talking. Just listening. But I don't want wires as I sometimes walk around the apartment with the headset on, and I want super convenience so that it's on and off very quickly and can switch back and forth between laptop speakers and headphones with the press (or two) of a button.
Any recommendations? A brand if not a specific model?
Edit: Okay, I've done some searching and found that Motorola seems to make what I am looking for. Specifically, their S9-HD and S10-HD Bluetooth stereo headsets as well as their S305 Bluetooth stereo headset. The former are in-ear (earbuds), the latter is not. All of them wrap around the back of the head and appear lightweight. I think I would prefer the in-ear since they would probably be slightly more compact and versatile, but not if I'd be sacrificing audio quality while listening to music. Does anyone have any experience with these models and care to offer their thoughts?
