Is PX 100 good for gaming?
Is it better than PC 150 in sound quality?
-
I have a pair of these, although I use them for music, not gaming. I don't know how it compares to the PC150 in sound quality, but I do like the sound quality of them generally. I also like the convenience of being able to "fold them up".
EDIT: Btw, I was just looking at these on amazon.com, and saw a link to the Sennheiser PX100W Supra-Aural headphones. Might also be worth taking a look at; don't seem to cost much more, and they might be even better in terms of sound quality. -
How would you rate its bass??
-
The Sennheiser headphones are great, and their noise-canceling line is wonderful as well. There are very nominal differences in sound quality between the 250/300, but the 150 is a much older model. -
The bass response of the PX100's is great (important to me since I listen to a lot of reggae and funk).

That's a problem. Bose headsets are extremely expensive for me. My budget is limited. I was planning to buy the Razer Barracuda, but unfortunately it's not available here in Bangkok. What I'm really looking for, is good bass quality with a fair price.

I too have the PX100's but I use them with my iPod. They are excellent headphones with great sound quality and very good bass. If you want some reviews, check them out on Amazon here. Out of 394 reviews, they have 4.5 stars.
I'll also note that the collapsible design and the case are great features that make them good for travel. -
Nice. I'm starting to like it. I'll check it out in the store tomorrow. Thanx for the link.

the px100s are great, the base is good, they're comfortable to wear for long periods and the detail is pretty good, especially giving the price.
you may want to look at the koss portapro's, but they look a bit 'naff', they're more expensive and i have no clue whether they're bass is as good (sorry)
look at cnet.com reviews of headphones, they seem to be relatively reliable...they should be pretty good for gaming and the cord is quite long -
Great. Thanx for the additional info.

It pretty good for the price. I presume the US price is similar or probably better than the £20-25 UK price
Decent bass, quite a nice warm reproduction of mids and surprisingly detailed. A great budget introduction to headphones.
I will say for games, the main con against the PX100s is that they do not have enough sound stage. That is the feeling of where sounds are coming from and from how far away. In FPS games in particular, a decent set of cans may mean sneek attacks are a thing of the past
In case you missed it, my post in your last gaming headphone thread -
If you want bass.
Senhiesser HD477's are a good option as well.
Yea but basically PX 100's are exactly the same as PC 150's without the bulk. -

I don't think you should be concerned about the PX100's not having enough bass. Some people descirbe these headphones as 'very dark' which means alot of bass. I know that if I put mine on and get a nice song then theres times that I can feel my ears moving from all the bass. The only downside that I see to these headphones is that they don't isolate, which isn't always a down side. I personally own a pair of PX100's and I've been using them for over a year now.. put a nice bit of abuse on them and they still work great.
There is also a set of PMX100's which have the exact same cups, but the band is a different style, it goes around the back of your head instead of over the top.. and they cost 10USD less.
Senhiesser PX 100 Headphones.
