I just got these and wanted to know your opinion of them. They are the ear bud style phones with noise isolation. Anyone have these? What do you think? I got them for around $30. Is that a good price? Thanks.

From what I've heard, the Sennheiser CX series isn't so great. If you wanted good quality, the Sennheiser IE8's, IE7's or IE6's are your best bet.

DetlevCM recommended them to me. Right now, I'm trying to decide between getting them, or buying myself an Intel X-25M or an external monitor. Apparently, they are professional quality IEM's.

Mine are ok. Noise isolation is pretty good on those buds that I bought off Ebay for 16 shipping included.

you overpaid a little bit, but it's still okay for the money. there are of course better phones, but they can cost 10 times what you spent.

Thanks for the advice guys. A few points I want to make:

1.) I am looking for the best ear buds(with noise cancelling technology) in the $20 to $30 range. I checked out the IE6, 7 and 8's and they are way out of my price range and I am not willing to spend that kind of money for earbuds. Are these the best in the price range I mentioned above?

2.) I see that they are going for cheaper prices on ebay, which is great. I can still return these and get the ones on eBay for cheaper, so that is an option. But one of the things that worries me is that many of the sellers of these headphones are located in China. I usually stay away from sellers that are located in China. The reason is, at least with certain products, some things are knock offs and not the real thing. I am arguing that Chinese products are bad or anything, obviously not since so many goods come from there. I am more concerned about a seller selling me a knock off or ripping me off. Is this a concern?

cn_habs - was your item bought from a seller in China?

i just unpacked my cx300-ii's and i must say they are much better than the standard ipod headphones. as far as the noise canceling, i didn't hear my cell phone ring, which is less than a foot away from me. they definitely have better bass and sound quality than the ipod headphones (only other pair of headphones i've used, so that's all i have to compare them to). one thing i don't like about them is the way they split. when they split the right cord is much longer than the left, like the 1st gen PSP headphones. i got mine on ebay as well for $20.99

The CX300's aren't to bad for the price range, but at that price range your not going to get much.

They are probably also one of the most copied headphones you can find, there are many more fake ones for sale than the real ones. 25-30 is a safe price range, any to much cheaper than that and I would guess they are fake.

Yeah, I am not willing to pay a ton for this. Like I said approximately $25 to $30 is my price range. What do you think I can buy that would be the best in this price range? Doesn't have to be one brand or another and it doesn't have to be ear buds/canal buds can also be the classic over the headphones(but I prefer the canal buds).

Didn't know that there were so many knock offs of the Cx300-ii. Why are there so many specifically for this model?

I was looking at this auction on ebay. Does it look legit? Are they the authentic ones from Sennheiser? Suggestion and help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Beware of China buyers. You are highly likely to get fakes...

Something I recently stumbled across more by accident - Klipsch X1 - they seem to get a reasonable response in the 20 Pounds range (offer on Amazon UK) - do a bit of research, they may be a good idea.

Thanks for all the input so far. Now I am very confused :). The poor quality report of the cx300-ii is disturbing. 3 pairs and all 3 are falling apart, that stinks. Maybe I should not go for them?

What do you guys think of these. Looks like they have really good reviews.

Well, this is a very different product - not IEMs - so...
There are good IEMs "out there" - and life is affected by many factors.

Similarly priced IEMs can sound better... don't have to...
