I was wondering which one to get. I'm kinda leaning toward the pc166. The medusa im talking about is the usb/laptop version. Also other headset suggestions are welcome.

I would avoid any 5.1 headsets life a wild fire. Stick with 2 speaker headphones.

If you want my recomendation. Audio Technia A700's or AD700's low impidance means they can be driven directly by your source with no amp, and very very high sound quality.

    I had a pair of medusa 5.1's.

I don't know about anyone else, but i'd used normal headphones before that, and continue to do after (since they broke), but they were simply the best gaming headphones I could get.

I don't know how they compare to good twin speakers though.

One point to note, I found them a lot, LOT better for pinpointing sound in online games - I used to be a semi-pro css player, and it improved my gamesense a LOT.

Can't say they were up to much for music though.

I just like my pretty Logitech Z-10's though.
