Are they worth the price. Have many of you used them before with good experiences? I have read a lot and they seem to be one of the best. Should I get one?

I have one, it is better than a regular sleeve I guess. But it wont protect your notebook from big drops or hard impacts.. Just from minor ones.

I know Tom Bihn makes a laptop sleeve with a corrugated plastic layer, but you'd have to use it with their bags. I can't seem to find any others.

They will keep you protected from the minor bumps and bangs that you invariably get when you travel. Maybe even some of the more serious ones too, but certainly not being dropped.

I think in conjunction with the Wenger Avenues Sierra Laptop Case the Shinza Zeroschok III and a custom polycarbonate shell my laptop would be pretty well protected.

I would say say overkill but unless that laptop is one of those toughbooks, sadly it probably isn't overkill.

On topic. The Zeroshock III cases are pretty good. They have tough corners which I reckon should allow my laptop to survive a fall from my hands to the ground in case I drop it. Side padding is a little sparse (but that';s a good thing because if it was thick, you wouldnt be able to hold it easily)

I was reading the web page for the 17" Shinza Zeroshock, it seems like it would just barely fit my HP Pavillion DV9930US laptop. Anyone use one of these sleeves with this laptop?

Also, is it really 17" long? If it is, it won't fit inside my current case, I only have 16.5" of space lengthwise.
