Hi Guys,
I'm looking for a pair of in-ear earphones that have a short cord for use with a remote. I have this pair of speakers which came with a extension cord with controls on it to plug headphones into.
I currently use a pair of sennheizer CX-300II and i love the sound quality on them. What would be recommended for similar quality and price but with a short cord?
Cheers

Buy another pair, cut the cord, shorten it, solder, and heat shrink.
-
i thought of doing that but the last time i tried that it ended badly.
-
Just make sure to use good materials, make good connections, and match wires.
-
yea the connection bit was tricky. anyway i dont want to do it again. i'd rather spend money on a proper one and get a warranty with it.
anyone tried this one:

feedback on how it compares to the CX300-II would be much appreciated -
I know you can pick up Shure headphones that do what you want, mostly because I'm using a pair right now. The Low(er) end pairs might be in your price-range, although I'n not sure due to US conversion and the fact that the sony uk site requires a postal code from britain.

i normally make headphone purchases from amazon. its a pity sennheizer dosent seem to make short cord earphones.

You can find Shure products on amazon uk.

try looking at the Jlab J3's- the wire on them is pretty short and they sound pretty nice- I have a pair and I really like them.

I don't quite get why a short cord would be important.
Why not just fold up a little of the cable and use a cable tie, the way it tends to be for a pair of headphones you've just bought? -
On the Sennheiser IE8 you can change the cord to a shorter one - but I think you don't want to spend that much.
On another note though:
Its always a compromise - short cable, good for a shirt pocket, long cable, good for trousers - there is no perfect solution for companies, they'll use a slightly longer cable just to make sure you can use it either way.
So if it is too long - hold it in place with a paperclip/cable tie etc. -
cable tie etc is cumbersome and it actually feels "heavy"- pulls against the buds.
a few years ago i used to use sony in ear earphones and they both had short cables, 0.5m vs 1.1m most earphones come with. One of them came with an extension cable to use if needed.
has anyone tried the new crop of short cord sony's? -

get the Sennheiser CX 400 In-Ear Headphone.
