Now this is a first for me, I had a few spare ones but they are rubbish, never imagined good ear buds made so much difference. There's whopping galore of them both on ebay and Amazon (UK please) and I'd like to ask to get some spares, as I can't stand the sound of outside world and want my music back.

Oddly Jvc xtreme explosives in ears are really well made... Go in and out my pocket at least 6 times a day... I am amazed. Will probably upgrade soon, but still need quality buds for spares! ^_^

Well, this depends on your budget.

If you want cheap earbuds and don't care about sound quality, buy a set of $5 earbuds from Monoprice.com. I use these when I'm on the move or in the gym, and don't care if these earbuds break down. If they break from misuse or mishandling after a few months, just throw them out and buy another pair for $5. I call them "throwaway headphones".

If you want silicon earbuds with high sound quality, the current favorite among Head-Fi users for bang-for-your-buck is HeadDirect HiFiMan RE0 earbuds. About $100 USD.

If you want supreme noise isolation with high sound quality, you'll want Etymotic MC5 or HF5 headphones. About $80 - $150 USD, depending on the model you buy.

Well I only need replacement ear buds for my in ear headphones, as one is black and other is white, and these are my last ones as I stripped all the ones that came with my phone or old headphones.

Once I upgrade I'll probably get klipsch, but I'm unsure, will do more reading when the time comes.

And good silicone sleeves/buds make a huge difference, as I thought they were all standard, but apparently there's real variety in quality...

I have the same JVC Xplosives as well, they are pretty good. I got mine for less than £15 a while back. All really depends on your budget I'd guess. I would avoid ebay personally since there are loads of fakes out there ( I remember the bose in ear ones were notirious and dr dre beats were faked a lot as well).

Depends on what type of sound you like as well. V-moda have a nice bassy club sound which is nice and fat and they used to look quite nice as well.

So i picked up some spare buds from amazon which looked decent, wont know until they arrive but for 5£ for a pack they better be posh.

i have been eyeing bose IE2, but If i spend 100£ on headphones, i really want a replaceable cable...

klipsh has gone down in price http://www.amazon.co.uk/Klipsch-IMA...8&qid=1370593481&sr=8-5&keywords=etymotic+mc5

but i don't really want a non replaceable cable... i don't mind it on a mouse, i can just resolder it there, but on headphones it is a lot more tricky... the JVC ones outlasted any other headphones i had, as the cables seem really durable, but as i said for 100£ headphones i really feel i should be able to replace them, as i never had headphones fail, always is the cruddy cable.

i keep going back to shure SE215, as they seem closest to what i want without going into the maaaad price range.
